Lo Zen e la Via del Trader Samurai è molto più che un libro sul trading, è un libro su come affrontare la vita. Parla di trading, di come affrontarlo, di come rispettarlo avendone paura e, infine, di come carpirlo partendo da un’analisi molto semplice quanto sottovalutata: il mercato non è il nostro avversario, è il campo di battaglia. In quanto campo di battaglia il mercato può assumere solamente tre forme (rialzista, ribassista e indecisione) che, al pari di aria, acqua e terra, hanno diverse caratteristiche da conoscere bene per preparare l’attacco (piuttosto che la difesa o la ritirata).

L’avversario, invece, risiede dentro di noi ed è l’EGO, supportato da innumerevoli alleati (paura, speranza ecc..).

In questo libro Stefano Fanton ci spiega anche come affrontare il nostro nemico, ed è qui che spunta la mitica figura del trader samurai, un Ronin (samurai senza padrone) che armato della propria mente, della propria spada e della fodera nella quale è riposta la spada e, non ultimo, del proprio mantra (tutti elementi fondamentali per il trader samurai), si prepara alle infinite battaglie che lo attendono. E’ un libro esatto nel quale ogni singolo paragrafo potrebbe essere oggetto di studio e di riflessione.

E’ rivolto a tutti, trader esperti o novizi e parla soprattutto di questi ultimi ma, probabilmente, ha molto più impatto sui trader esperti per i quali “togliere” è molto più difficile. La stessa mentalità Zen è, tra le righe, quella che l’autore ci consiglia di adottare nella nostra quotidianità, nelle scelte e nelle aspettative che ogni giorno siamo costretti ad affrontare o che vogliamo perseguire.
