Pedram Shojai – The Urban Monk Academy
Let’s help you get clear on what you want so you can get out of your own way and live a healthy and fulfilled life.
Live in the moment by slowing, even stopping time.
Achieve focus, clarity, direction and a life’s purpose.
And before you know it.
You’re a tightly wound ball of stress-feeling overwhelmed, run down and stuck in a rut.
Does that sound familiar? Look, you’re not alone.
What you’re experiencing are symptoms of our ‘always on’ yet oddly disconnected modern culture.
These days, we have more commitments, more demands and more ‘friends’ than ever before. And it’s leaving us stressed, frustrated and overwhelmed. You’re being pulled in so many different directions, sometimes it feels like you’re going to. SNAP!
So what’s the answer?
Ancient practices from the East coupled with a sensible approach I’ve taught my busy Los Angeles patients for years.
It took me a few years to “translate” what I learned as a monk into a useful framework for stressed out busy people, but I nailed it.
How can you attain peace in a way that doesn’t screw up your schedule, your commitments and your life?
Even better, how can you practice these skills in a way that ENHANCES your life?
I realized that you’re not going to shave your head and go live in silence in a mountaintop monastery.
So I had to bring that training down to you.
You’ve got bills to pay, dogs to feed and children to raise!
However, if you’re reading this message, I want you to know:
There’s another way.
A better way.
A way for you to not just survive, but thrive in this new “age of overwhelm.” Our current reality of smartphones, always-on communication, social media, daily stress, demanding families, work commitments, relationships, and the sheer anxiety of keeping up in a fast-changing world.
A way for you to finally breathe deep, relax, feeling calm, nourished and gain clarity on who you are, what you want and where you want to go.
A way to effortlessly integrate the powerful teachings of my spiritual teachers into modern life.
I call it. the way of the Urban Monk.
Who is the URBAN MONK?
My name is Pedram Shojai.
After studying biology at UCLA, I experienced a series of profound mystical coincidences that drew me to Eastern esoteric arts. I became a Doctor of Oriental Medicine.
I’ve studied and practiced Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Yoga, meditation and medicine diligently for the past 20 years. All the while traveling the world, meeting inspiring people who are making a difference in their communities. I was a Taoist Monk for four of those years.
You see, my passion is to bring the ancient wisdom of the East down to earth for regular people like you, here in our towns and cities.
Because what I’ve realized over the years is there has been a terrible misunderstanding in the West.
.and countless millions are needlessly suffering because of it.
Many of the trendy Eastern practices have come from ascetic lineages. What does that mean? It means the people who practice them successfully have chosen a life of abstinence. Of giving up money, or sex, or family as well as other worldly pursuits in search of a deeper spiritual connection.
Now, ask yourself this. Be honest.
Does that sound like you?
Are you really ready to give up cash, sex and Netflix. let alone your family and loved ones? Of course not!
Like I said, most of us feel guilty about missing yoga class. So how can we possibly expect to renounce the world when we have to deal with mortgages, leases, tuition and gas-guzzling cars?
Not. Going. To. Happen.
And that’s why I’ve spent the last 20 years weaving together a solution.
A tapestry of modern practices drawn from ancient eastern wisdom.
Once I got rid of all the flowery language, I took the best practices that had helped me and taught them to my patients. It worked! And what I found was. by making small changes, tiny little tweaks, and by performing simple practices each and every day. a profound transformation occurs.
Whatever it is you may want or need. be it more money, greater peace, less stress or more joy. I believe you can have it all when you get really clear on your “Life Garden” and stop watering the weeds in your life.
In other words?
Knowledge only gets you so far. The key is to simplify and put that knowledge to work FOR you.
Right now, I’d like to share how I can help you make that happen.
I’ve created a program where each day you can learn, integrate and implement new practices into your daily life. I’ll be right there with you each day, guiding you along to better health, greater peace, more energy and improved clarity on what you want out of life.
