Will Haimerl – Online Store Accelerator – Value $997
Will’s course is targeted towards those that have an online store that are sick of Facebook ads. Facebook ads according to Will are “sketchy” lately so his main focus will be on Google Shopping ads and more, to get you on the right foot.
What You’ll Learn Inside:
- Module 1: Welcome
- It’s the first module and you’re given the introduction and onboarding process, a quick video on how to join the Facebook mastermind group and then straight into the content which is what pretty much every course discusses, the right mindset.
A final video is included on how to get started with your store. - Module 2: Getting Setup
- The second module looks at creating a general store vs niche store and how to setup a Google Ads account for your business.
- You’ll also buy a domain name for your general store and create a Gmail account to handle your emails.
- This module then gets juicy when you’re told to create your Gearbubble Pro store account. If you were looking for help setting up a Shopify store, Clickfunnels store or even Bigcommerce, Woocommerce or Prestashop store then you’ll be solely disappointed.
- Gearbubble pro costs $297 per month, a pretty steep price for a beginner just getting started with their eCommerce journey. You can take advantage of their $97/mo plan but you’ll realise you quickly hit your low 5,000 visitor limit which will require you to upgrade your account.
- The main reason I hate Gearbubble pro is that every store looks the same, has little to no character and you’re locked into their limited features and customization. If you want to customize your store you really can’t do much like you can with Shopify or Clickfunnels.
- Once your Gearbubble account is setup you’ll get short snappy videos on topics such as setting up your domain name masking, connecting stripe and paypal, creating a contact us page, about page and creating and uploading a logo.
- All fairly basic videos in this section which shouldn’t be too demanding for beginners.
- Module 3: Products
- The products section looks at two types of products, drop shipping and print on demand. You get videos on how to find products using:
- Gearbubble
- Etsy
- Aliexpress
- eBay
- These are fairly straight forward videos on finding inspiration and best sellers that you can use to your advantage. There’s lots of content missing here that would be more beneficial to a beginner such as using Thieve.co, Wish, Intelliygence, Amazon movers and shakers, Facebook Ad spy tools etc which you see in most other courses.
- This section includes videos for print on demand how to create a design with Word Swag and Photoshop. You also learn how you can outsource to Fiverr or hire a designer on Upwork. There’s lots of additional content I think would be good here such as using mockups to create t-shirt sales photos etc.
- Lastly there is a few videos on uploading your print on demand products and creating upsells.
- Videos are fairly short averaging 3-7 minutes with some longer videos up to 16 minutes.
- Module 4: Google Shopping Ads
- The nitty gritty that most people will probably be considering this course for, Google Ads and Google Shopping. After buying and going through this section in great detail I was really disappointed, it’s so short! To give you a better understanding, there is 16 videos.
- I’ve reviewed other courses that have 50+ Google Shopping Ads videos.
- Regardless, you get an overview into the Google Merchant Center, verifying your Google account and creating a product feed for your store and uploading and customizing this into Merchant Center. Next you’ll learn how to create a Google Ads account, create your first conversion pixel and update products.
- Next learn how to create a shared budget, negative keyword lists, creating a wide open campaign, creating a target terms campaign.
- Lastly learn how to manage those campaigns and invidiual products with Google Shopping Ads.
- Why this module is too short?
- After spending thousands on Google Shopping, there is no mention of Scaling, picking winners or knowing when to kill campaigns. There is also no mention of the basics involved with Google Ads. Without the correct disclaimers and policies your ads will be rejected. You can’t throw up crap like you can on Facebook and expect to get approved.
- Other lacking videos include, single product campaigns, international geo setup, international geo campaigns, switching bid strategy and ROAS strategies.
- Module 5: Facebook Product Ads Retargeting
- This module claims to be a bonus, if you were happy paying $997 for the first module I’d be shocked. But this video shows you how to setup ads that follow your visitor around their social media pages on Facebook and Instagram once they’ve triggered the tracking pixel on your Google ads.
- You’ll learn basic Facebook setup such as business manager, creating a store page, using the FPTraffic Tool, creating a store ad account, getting people to like your page, creating a catalog on Facebook, creating a general dynamic product retargeting campaign, dynamic cart retargeting campaign and lastly using the Facebook pixel to track sales.
- Again it’s a fairly basic insight into retargeting on Facebook and there’s many other courses that spend hours on the topic but in Online Store Accelerator you only get just over 30 minutes.
- Module 6: Influencer Marketing
- Another bonus module that looks at free traffic with influencer marketing. Not sure how he can claim it’s free, it’s highly unlikely influencers won’t work for free, unless you’re giving them an incentive such as a free product or t-shirt and even then you’ll only attract low hanging fruit.
- Six videos included on how to find influencers, what to offer them and tracking influencer sales.
- Module 7: Email Marketin
- The last module is super short and less than 30 minutes and includes videos on setting up a Mailchimp account and connecting it with your store, creating a welcome email and ongoing email sequence. Pretty poor if I’m honest, these videos are so basic, most free Youtube videos offer more value.
- Module 8: Summary
- Lastly a summary module on a summary of the entire system, what to do next and how to seek assistance. A good video here would be how to get a refund if you’re unhappy with the level of content in the course to the value of $997 but that wasn’t found, unfortunately.
